IB English B Standard Level November 2022 Paper 1 (Writing) Task 1. Level 7 answer

Use an appropriate text type from the options below the task you choose. Write 250 to 400 words.

Task 1.

You recently spent time talking with a teenager from a culture different to your own. You found the experience very rewarding, and you want to express your thanks. Write a text reflecting on your meeting with your new friend and explaining what you have learned from the conversation.

You are given 3 text type options to select from. In this case, they are: Blog, Email or Essay.

The most suitable option is an Email.

How to decode the question?
You need to plan your answer based on what the question asks. They key points are:
(i) “reflecting on your meeting with your new friend” and
(ii) “explaining what you have learned from the conversation”

Make sure you address each of the above points in your response in order to obtain full marks.
