On 9th December 2024, Santosh Deshmukh, the Sarpanch of Massajog village, was brutally abducted and murdered. This incident shook the state of Maharashtra, and it exposed a nexus of how local strongmen like Walmik Karad openly run extortion rackets that do not let businesses run in India. Whoever dares to fight such baahubalis is silenced.
At the heart of this case was a Rs 2 crore extortion attempt against a renewable energy project. When Santosh Deshmukh defended the project and refused to bow down, he was killed to "set an example." His murder became a political debate where a well-known minister, Dhananjay Munde, was forced to resign when investigations revealed that Walmik Karad was his aide.
This video isn’t just about another man's murder in India; it’s about how, when the state fails to protect its people, gundas fill the vacuum. And unless we fix that, India’s dream of real progress will keep getting hijacked by violence and fear.
