If we convert the time to metric system means One day would have 10 hours, one hour would have 100 minutes and same with seconds, one minute would have 100 seconds. The clock would have only 10 division. Mid night would be at 10.00 will be called as Zero hours and noon would be at 5.00.

The office hours would be from 4 to 7 but this would not be three hours duty. One metric hour would be equal to 2.4 present hours, so the office duration would be same in any case. however you will get 3 weekly off in a single stretch against two days weekly off now, but you have to work 7 days continuously in a week.

France during the revolution tried to switch to metric system of time but could not sustain that.

China also started Metric system of time in 1793. They divided one day in equal 100 parts and they started to call one part of the day as CENTIDAY but could not run for a long.

Actually the time duration all depends on the revolution of earth around the sun, where there is no control of human being so in that way it does not seems to practical. The angle between the needles of clock shall be changed - 90 degree will become 250 degree. This would change the definition of right angle and off course what would be the faith of TRIGNOMATRY. Sorry, I have no clue.

So the idea of decimalization of time has been dropped and we are wearing the same customary watches.
