Courtesy of the Clark Santee archive, another real gem from 21yo James Taylor, and an early acoustic version of Country Road, a song destined for his second album and lauded for both its rural sound and lyrical content. The song has been a staple of James Taylor's live shows for decades. A fully- formed talent on display here, little surprise that James Taylor would usher in the soft-rock era and soon become one of the biggest selling artists of the early Seventies.
