☀️ A Day Exploring Vancouver's Chinatown 🏮

What a beautiful day to explore Chinatown! It was unseasonably warm for January—12°C and sunny—perfect for strolling around in a T-shirt. We arrived early for lunch at Dewtown Restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious mix of Filipino-Chinese cuisine.

Chinatown truly has so much to offer. From the vibrant streets to the unique shops filled with products from Asia—especially China—it’s a gem for food lovers and explorers alike. Plus, parking here is a bargain at just $2/hour, compared to the $8/hour you might pay in other parts of downtown Vancouver.

While walking around, we enjoyed the quieter streets (it wasn’t too crowded early in the day). It’s worth noting that Chinatown is near the Downtown Eastside, where homelessness is more visible. It’s important to stay aware of your surroundings and show respect for everyone in the community. Most people mean no harm and are simply part of the neighborhood.
