A Charcoal Drawing at Cadgwith Cove Cornwall -

I spent a day plein air painting at Cadgwith Cove in Cornwall recently with some friends. The fishing boats were hauled up on the beach and they made some interesting compositions, shapes and tones - ideal material for a charcoal drawing!

This drawing was completed using willow / vine charcoal sticks, compressed charcoal, charcoal pencils, putty rubber, Tombow erasers and a blade. I drew onto a homemade gessoed plywood panel that measured 40cm x 30cm.

This was quite a difficult drawing for me! I was pleased with the end result though, and the plywood gave it a grainy look - which I liked very much.

Thanks for watching - please leave any comments in the 'Comments' section and don't forget to Subscribe. Search through my videos if you'd like to see more drawings - I have several where I try out different materials.

Bye for now

Andrew
