About Us | A spectacular show of sound and light

Commissioned as part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK, About Us is a spectacular free touring open-air event combining cutting-edge light projections, animations, music and poetry to celebrate our extraordinary connections to everything around us: past, present and future. The show features an original score by composer Nitin Sawhney MBE performed by local choirs in each location and incorporated submissions from a UK-wide poetry and coding competition as well as work created by local school children in each location.

The spectacle toured five locations (Paisley, Derry-Londonderry, Caernarfon, Luton and Hull) from March to May 2022. Filmed on location in all five locations this film presents the full 25-minute experience exploring the story of everything that connects us, from the Big Bang to the current day.

This collaborative project was created by 59 Productions, The Poetry Society and Stemettes.
