Fenton House and Gardens - with ORBS!

Описание к видео Fenton House and Gardens - with ORBS!

Fenton House is a late-17th century merchant's house on the western side of Hampstead Grove. Built around 1686 it is the oldest house in Hampstead, North London (the second earliest is Burgh House about 10 minutes' walk away). It was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1952 by Lady Binning, the last owner and resident of Fenton House. The property boasts 19 early keyboard instruments (mostly still playable), as well as tapestries, ceramics and an impressive art collection including a portrait of King William IV (when he was Duke of Clarence), his mistress Dorothea Jordan and their two illegitimate sons Frederick and Adolphus FitzClarence. In 1793 Philip Fenton, a Riga merchant, bought the house and was responsible for most of the remodelling, in the 19th century. In some of the photographs of the interior of the house as well as the gardens, you can clearly see orbs! One might be excused for thinking Fenton House is occupied by the spirits of residents of a bygone era - perhaps even Lady Binning herself?! Hampstead is reputed to be one of the most haunted villages in London!
