The world needs to pivot to a Net Zero economy. This shift will have a tremendous impact on the financial services industry through providing targeted lending and investments to help clients reduce their carbon footprint. For many financial institutions, the top priority is calculating their exposure to the oil and gas sector. The majority of the sector’s emissions are generated by downstream consumers (Scope 3 emissions) – for example, people driving their cars and heating their homes.
