Non-Technical Skills

Non-Technical Skills (NTS) are the cognitive and interpersonal skills that support clinical (technical) skills. This short video is an educational simulation to highlight poor NTS practice during a cardiac arrest.

Please watch the video and think about the cognitive (decision making, task allocation, prioritisation and situational awareness) and interpersonal (teamwork, leadership and communication) issues.


This video is used by TSCSC to exemplify potential negative human factor influences on staff performance in a simulated healthcare environment.
