Two 26-story, 400,000 square meter buildings in Hubei province, China have become a giant pig farm. This super farm is like a monument to China's ambition to modernize pork production. A giant 26-storey building for raising pigs has towered over a rural village in Central China
Inside the building, which resembles the monolithic blocks seen across China, the pigs are monitored by technicians using high-definition cameras from a command center. Each floor operates like a self-contained farm for different stages of the piglet's life: an area for pregnant pigs, a room for piglets about to give birth, a lactation area and space for fatten pigs.
