At one point in my life I listened non-stop to power metal, mainly Blind Guardian, but also Demons & Wizards, some Helloween etc.

I had the ablum "Nightfall in Middle-Earth" in my collection back in the late 90s, and Demons & Wizards debut in 2000, so around that time I guess.

I believe it was "Nightfall in Middle-Earth" that got me into JRR Tolkien!

Blind Guardian always pulled me straight into those fantasy worlds, and Somewhere Far Beyond is still my favorite album.

Back then I dreamed of playing those fast galloping riffs from Demons & Wizards… couldn’t quite manage it. These days I can keep up a lot better, though it’s still tough to keep up until the end!
