Why is Noah’s Flood an essential feature of the history of the universe? From the very beginning God declares His standard of perfection. After each literal day of His record of creation He states that it is very good. A holy and righteous God cannot look upon and condone corruption of His creation, or His Word, He has to judge the situation and correct it. With Adam’s disobedience to follow God’s commands we immediately see him hiding from his creator in fear, and then he blames the woman you gave me! Instead of subduing creation as was his job description, he didn’t take his dominion role seriously as the deceptive serpent targeted Eve in order to get Adam to disobey God. As the sinful nature of man matured over time, God repented of creating him and used Noah and his family to build the escape vessel, the Ark. Noah witnessed to the people that God was about to bring His judgement upon them, but no one responded! God knows the heart of man and who will respond to His call! He has given us free will to return to Him through the redemptive act of His Son Jesus Christ on the Cross. The scriptures declare that another judgment of fire will destroy the world in the future. Sadly the vast majority of people deny the global evidence of His first judgment by water, the global Flood of Noah, despite the evidence! In the same way, they deny that they are descended from fallen Adam! All in Adam will die and then face a personal judgment at the White Throne, where the charges against them will be read out from the book in which they are written! Heaven or Hell? Repair your relationship with your Heavenly Father through His Son while you have time!
