How I use the Tempo Metronome App

Here is my quick introduction to the Tempo Metronome App. If you don't already own this, I encourage you to go download it ASAP! It really is the best metronome app, has a ton of functionality and is useful both for practicing and on the gig. I personally use it in every drum lesson I teach, and use it on almost every gig I play.

What I think sets this apart from other metronomes is my favorite function on the app called the "Automator." The Automator allows you to easily program the metronome to increase the BPM in increments as small as 1 beat, as frequently as every measure, or two, or three, etc. I find this feature to be super useful when practicing repetitive technical exercises such as rudiments, drum licks and drum patterns allowing me to measure my progress over time.
