Moments from the multi-sensory tree-of-life activity at Associação Promotora do Ensino dos Cegos (Portuguese association for the teaching of the blind) on March 2019. People could touch, smell, taste, hear and see biodiversity and learn about evolution in an inclusive way!

Video description:

The event takes place in a big and open hall with wooden floor and white walls. A volunteer rubs a koos ball on a blind participant hand, to give him the sensation of echinoderm tube feet.
Two blind participants learn about plants. One is bent forward smelling some aromatic green leaves.
A blind lady touches a taxidermy sea turtle that she is holding.
A visually impaired lady examins a very spiky seashell holdind it very close to her face.
A blind lady smiles while stroking a taxidermy phaesant, feeling it's soft feathers.
Two children, a boy and a girl play with sea shells. The girl hold a very big see snail shell and the boy hold two amonites one on each side of his face, pretending they are his ears. They both laugh to the camera.
A little boy examines an eel, with a curious look.


The animals and taxidermy present in the workshop belongs to zoological institutes, museums or scientific education centers and are from pedagogic collections.
