A level crossing found just within Clackmannanshire outside of Stirling, at the entrance to a large industrial area. This is the middle of the three public highway level crossings on the single line to Alloa, and the second of the two on the line to have had dirt turn the backs of its wigwags almost completely black, even the alarms (with the exception of one's newer tip) are covered and almost turned black too. It almost gives the illusion they may be old halogen bulb variants when they're not - rather they're early LED wigwags dating back to circa 2008 when the line re-opened. The contrast in backdrops at this crossing is remarkable; on the first side it's a rather dull, gloomy looking large industrial area, and looking away from it on the other side you're treated to a spectacular view of the Ochills that rear up and separate the Scottish Lowlands from the start of the transition towards the Highlands. A pair of trains can be seen in this video, both giving off quite a sense of speed past this crossing, and the first is also filmed navigating a curve to the east of the crossing I spotted whilst there. An interesting crossing for definite.
