Hey, I'm just up on a roof here checking a solar system for a customer. They've had their inverter show a fault called res low or resistance low, which is brought up a ground fault, red light on the inverter. It's a power one inverter. So I'm just doing a proper check on the roof, and from a distance, everything looks okay, but as you get up close, this is a good example of a failing solar panel. You can see here.

I'm not sure how clear it is on the video, but the bottom edge of this panel has had water into it, and it's actually inside the glass, and there's corrosion. Basically, it's shorting the DC from the solar panels down to the Earth on the frame and the inverter shutting down. So this is a common problem, poor quality made solar panels. And unfortunately, this is not repairable. So it's really important to pick a product that's got a really good warranty because this company has actually disappeared and they no longer exist.

So the client won't be able to get a warranty, and I can't actually repair this.
