After Going to Dog Beach, We Tour Historic Apalachicola, Florida and Camp Nearby.

While traveling east along the panhandle of Florida, we stop in Panama City at a dog beach to let Pepper stretch her legs. Then, we continue on to "the forgotten coast" just past Tyndall Air Force Base. Starting in Mexico Beach which is busy rebuilding since being devastated by a hurricane (it's looking pretty good), we hit Port St. Joe, and onward to historic Apalachicola. Driving through the streets and along the waterway of one of Florida's oldest cities, we highlight homes and buildings of interest. This is no ghost town for it is thriving with small industry and tourism with many places to stay within the city. Being vanlifers, we take our home with us so we headed across the elegant bridge high above the bay and into the adjoining state forest. Many camping and boating adventures await in Tate's Hell State Forest.
