Stage 4 liver cancer is also called metastasis. Stage 4 liver cancer is diagnosed when the disease has spread beyond the liver and into other organs and/or lymph nodes. Whenever cancer starts spreading, the cancer cells travel through the blood and forms a new tumour, as well as the cancer cells, also starts circulating in the circulatory system.

It is also important to give supportive treatment for pain management, nutrition management in order to improve the quality of life for stage 4 patients.
