Un poco de Historia sobre este tren:

Es un tren turístico gestionado por Renfe, el tren fue inaugurado en 1983 por bajo el nombre de Al-Andalus Expreso, formando parte desde su inicio de los trenes más lujosos del mundo.

Los coches de viajeros que se usan para este tren fueron restaurados cuidadosamente, teniendo en cuenta con toda precisión los más mínimos detalles, a imagen y semejanza de los que tuvieran en su día otros como el Orient Express o el mítico Transiberiano. Llegó a ser uno de los ferrocarriles más caros del mundo.

Su ruta unía las ciudades de Córdoba, Granada y Sevilla.

El Al Andalus Expreso estuvo circulando desde 1985 hasta 2005, siendo gestionado por la empresa Iberrail, pero tras la quiebra de ésta en 2005 el tren dejó de circular. En 2012, tras un concurso realizado por Renfe, propietaria del tren, la empresa española FEVE se hizo con la gestión del servicio, que basándose en su experiencia con el Transcantábrico, restableció de nuevo la ruta bajo el nombre de Tren Al Andalus, realizando diferentes trayectos nuevos.

Actualmente el tren se encuentra en proceso de cambio de Imagen a una mas actual para empezar a prestar servicio nuevamente en unos meses.

A bit of history about this train:

It is a tourist train managed by Renfe, the train was inaugurated in 1983 under the name of Al-Andalus Expreso, forming part of the most luxurious trains in the world since its inception.

The passenger cars used for this train were carefully restored, taking into account the smallest details, in the image and likeness of those used by others such as the Orient Express or the mythical Trans-Siberian. It became one of the most expensive railways in the world.

His route linked the cities of Córdoba, Granada and Seville.

The Al Andalus Expreso was running from 1985 to 2005, being managed by the company Iberrail, but after its bankruptcy in 2005 the train stopped running. In 2012, after a tender held by Renfe, owner of the train, the Spanish company FEVE took over the management of the service, which based on its experience with the Transcantábrico, restored the route again under the name of Tren Al Andalus, carrying out different new routes.

Currently the train is in the process of changing its image to a more current one to start providing service again in a few months.
