Trip to the North Maine Woods – Part 1

Описание к видео Trip to the North Maine Woods – Part 1

This is a vlog of my eight day, seven night trip to the North Maine Woods. Part one covers the first four days as I leave the pavement and make my way from the entry at the 20 Mile Checkpoint near Pittston Farms to Leadbetter Falls, Caucomgomac Lake, and Spider Lake.

The North Maine Woods is located in the upper northern region of Maine and includes over 3.5 million acres of wilderness. It includes the well-known Northeast rivers of St. John and the Allagash famous for back county canoeing. Although this land is primarily owned by private forest owners, who make their living from the woods, they have teamed up with state government agencies to use and protect this beautiful Maine natural resource.

For a fee, the area is open to the public for daily entry and camping.
