TEL LAST DAY TERMINATING AT GARDENS BY THE BAY! 🇸🇬🚇 Thomson-East Coast Line MRT Outram Park→GBTB

Gardens by the Bay MRT Station is the current southern/eastern/Changi-bound terminus of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) and provides convenient access to one of Singapore's major attractions, Gardens by the Bay, featuring iconic structures such as the Supertree Grove, Flower Dome, and Cloud Forest. The station enhances connectivity for both locals and tourists visiting the gardens.

22 June 2024 is the last official day that Gardens by the Bay MRT Station is the southern/eastern/Changi-bound terminus of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), as TEL4 will open on 23 June 2024.

From 23 June 2024, TEL4, or Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4 will open and TEL will serve 7 new stations including Tanjong Rhu, Katong Park, Tanjong Katong, Marine Parade, Marine Terrace, Siglap, and Bayshore. These stations will enhance connectivity for residents in the eastern part of Singapore, significantly reducing travel times. For example, the journey from Marine Parade to Shenton Way will take only 20 minutes via TEL, compared to the current 40-minute bus-and-train combination.

The Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) is a major development in Singapore's public transportation network, initially merging the Thomson Line and the Eastern Region Line into a single project. The TEL aims to improve accessibility and provide a seamless connection across various parts of the city. The entire line, when completed, will feature 32 stations stretching from Woodlands North to Sungei Bedok, with further extensions planned to Changi Airport Terminal 5​.
