Brads Abrasive Paste & Tung Wax Finish || FOOD SAFE Woodturning Finish

Описание к видео Brads Abrasive Paste & Tung Wax Finish || FOOD SAFE Woodturning Finish

An in depth look at Brads abrasive paste / extra fine sanding paste and Tung Wax Finish that is made by hand, with only FOOD SAFE ingredients, ALL NATURAL abrasive paste for woodturning and Tung Wax Finish friction polish are becoming popular among the woodturning community I wanted to make a video explaining the ingredients used as well as how I typically apply both my Extra Fine Sanding Paste and Tung Wax Finish. Contrary to what's been said my homemade abrasive paste and Tung wax finish are not competitors with Acks abrasive paste or Yorkshire Grit. Unlike one of them I will never put down their product because they both have their place. My homemade abrasive paste was made to be less course that acks abrasive paste but more course than yorkshire grit. There is no 1 product that can do everything. Pick the abrasive paste and finish that works best for the project at hand.

In the vast world of woodturning, woodturners have a huge amount of options when it comes to selecting a woodturning finish for their bowl turning, spindle turning, hollow forms and much more. I struggled to find a woodturning finish that I was happy with, so I began to develop my own. My homemade, food safe Tung Wax finish was just meant to be something I made for my own personal turnings. But when I saw how well and long lasting it preformed I knew others would enjoy using it as well. I chose pure Tung oil to be my main ingredient because it is one of only a few "curing oils" in the world. Even though it is expensive and cuts in on profit, it provides a food safe richness and luster to the wood unmatched by any other oil in my opinion. Mixed that with a blend of food safe waxes and the Tung Wax Finish was created for not only woodturning but anything woodworking that needs a food safe finish. After that I wanted to complete a nice woodturning finishing kits so I began to develop an abrasive paste (Sanding Paste) for woodturning. What makes my woodturning abrasive paste different that others? The biggest difference is that I intentionally keep my mix thicker than any other abrasive paste because I feel it helps suspend the abrasive more evenly throughout the mixture. Brads abrasive paste is truly the "goldilocks" of woodturning abrasive pastes for the professional and DIY

Woodturning and resin turning are incredibly fun hobbies to get into. As you can see by this video you can definitely get very creative. If it is softer than metal and dry you can most likely cast it in resin and turn it on a wood lathe.
