I've gotten emails about this so here's a quick tutorial on how tie a rubber band dampener. Rubber bands are a great and affordable alternative to vibration dampeners. They are lighter than your average rubber dampener and they never fly off your strings if tied properly. In this tutorial I intentionally tied this rubber band slowly to show you guys how easy it is.

I bought a bag from Wal-Mart for around $2. For best results the use the #64 rubber bands. 3 1/2 x 1/4in (8.9 x 0.64cm)
