Frieren's Prologue is Amazing, And Here's Why.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End has one of the best opening 4 episodes (or one long special depending on where you watched it) that I've seen in quite a while, and it only feels fair to talk about the direction (specifically its use of montage), writing, and surprisingly, it's background art. We've also got great foreshadowing, an all-time cut, and an analysis of my favorite scene (the blue-flower) in the prologue. Frankly, it's just Amazing. And I can't wait to tell you why.

I have read the manga, but outside of one blink and you'll miss it reference, I do not spoil any upcoming material. And yes, in case you were wondering, I did put on a suit before watching the show.
