This sweet girl’s mom reached out to tell me the story of her courageous sweet daughter Leila’s battle with cancer. Recently Leila has been moved to the “maintenance” phase of her treatment and was finally cleared to go on her make-a-wish trip to Disney! Her wish was to go during Halloween for the Oogie Boogie Bash and to meet Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas.

I have been waiting for the right Project to pop up to do another in-depth video, and this story was really captivating for me, I really wanted to make it happen for them! I had a little over two days to make the dress to get it shipped out in time, and I genuinely had moments where I questioned, whether or not it was going to happen. My Project Runway day is really kicked in to help me out!

( it is also worth noting that I made this video about a year ago, and at the time I didn’t know, but I was mispronouncing this sweet baby’s name lol it’s actually pronounced like LAYLA. Just wanted to add that little note in here as well.)
