On December 18, 2017, I underwent a cochlear implant surgery. On January 8, 2018, I got my implant activated. It sounded very mechanical and I was very flustered/confused with the completely unexpected sounds. But I know it's a matter of allowing my brain to adapt with time, so I'm going to be patient and work hard throughout auditory rehab.
