ORIGINAL INFO: The beginning of the saga that rocked the Spiderverse! And by that I mean it pelted it with rocks.

RUMINATIONS: As I said when this whole thing started, I was still VERY MUCH exhausted with storyline stuff. Add onto that my first time doing Longbox, which I was quickly falling behind on, and I needed another week to get everything in order, hence why the Halloween storyline doesn’t resolve here as it should. After all, it makes much more sense to resolve here when the Clone Saga story also dealt with trust issues between Peter and his clone. Sure, it wasn’t exactly a huge theme of the story, but it was there and it would have made more sense. But nope, I pushed it back again.

Speaking of, going back to the beginning of the Clone Saga, really WAS pretty much just an excuse to finally talk about Judas Traveller. The character is awful in all the worst ways, as I discussed in the episode, serving no actual narrative purpose than to be mysterious. MAYBE he could have worked as an ongoing antagonist in Spider-Man… if it wasn’t also happening at the same time as the Clone Saga. The Clone Saga was tackling issues of identity and character history and self-image and angst… aaaand here was this doofus doing stupid pretentious experiments.

And yes, I was wrong about Judas Traveller’s students never appearing again. I honest-to-God just completely forgot that they were still around after this point aside from Scrier, since they really don’t DO anything later.
