Úna & Eamonn's beautiful wedding in Cork City was intimate, sweet and deeply personal. It was followed by a delicious and cosy reception and dinner at the fabulous and funky Ballinacurra House in Kinsale.
I really believe I have the most wonderful job. I am fortunate enough to witness pure human emotion, to love and to family tradition. All in one day.
We are emotional beings.
We love to love.
We love to connect.
We love to be amongst our tribe.
This pandemic constantly teaches me the importance of treasuring our people, our tribe. Those that I don't see, I miss.
I lost my mum a few years ago and am away from my brother and my Dad, who live in other countries and always have done.
So, for me, witnessing and documenting a family's wedding is something that I not only love to do (because the Irish have the best craic at weddings), but also because it fills me with awe.
That look the bride's Mother has when she looks at her daughter saying her vows. That tear held back by her sister. It is something that usually brings me to tears.
The attention to detail and the inclusiveness of the couple to bring those that they love the most into their day is so thoughtful and loving.
Una and Eamonn are possibly two of the kindest and gentlest people I've had the good fortune to photograph. I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness, filled with adventure, laughter and sunshine. xxx
