Hello, neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our TowSmart Trailer Hitch Lock Receiver. It's a padlock style if you will, and it's made for two inch trailer hitches. Now folks, you use this in place of your standard hitch pin and clip to prevent your draw bar or accessory bike rack, whatever, from being stolen. So it's a very simple lock. It has a dust cover on the end here.

As you can see, you got a keyhole. It can spin freely when it's locked, but it cannot come off. You get two keys. To use it, you simply put the key in, making sure you got it facing the right way, there we go. And you take the lock off.

Now to re-lock it, all you have to do is simply push it in and automatically lock. You don't have to use the key to re-lock it. You put the dust cover back on and you're ready to go. Now, like I said, this can spin freely when it's locked, but you don't have to worry about it, it works just fine. The dust cap is gonna prevent moisture buildup or dirt and that kind of stuff.

And the material of everything here with the lock is a corrosion resistant and it's been designed to withstand extreme temperatures and weather. So cold weather shouldn't mess with it. Hot weather, any of that kind of stuff either. This is rated for class three and four hitches. The pin diameters your standard 5/8".

As far as some quick measurements, overall, I got a overall length of 7-1/4" long, and then without the lock on, I got 6-3/4" long. And then this usable length here, so with the lock on to about the usable area, I got 3-1/4" long. So right here at the top curve is about where you're gonna be able to use that. So three and a quarter inches long, that's a little longer than the standard hitch pin and clip. So you should be good. And once again, when I took the lock off and measured the whole length, it was about 6-3/4" long. That measurement probably won't matter to you, but I threw it in there just in case.
