Soulful Hampi & Badami In Karnataka | Van Life India | The Hippie Trail #50

From the moment we drove into India, a visit to Hampi in Karnataka was high on our wish list.
We had been here 16 years ago during our first visit to India and this place made a deep impression on us then. It was not so much the numerous temples that stayed with us, but mainly the unreal nature with its countless boulders, slow-flowing river and palm and banana plantations.

Our next stop was Badami, still in Karnataka, where we visited the mighty rock cut temples, along with hundreds of schoolchildren. Despite these crowds, we were very happy to have stopped here!
