Rate Forecast for Rice crop of this year ||rice rates updates 2024 today
Rice is one of the most important crops of Pakistan.

Basmati rice of our region is renowned worldwide. It is

also liked by most of the native community and vastly

used in our beloved country Pakistan. We should use

modern techniques and methods to increase the

overall yield of the crop. Production technology of rice

is evolving with the passage of time. We should follow

the new norms to cope with the prevailing challenges

of water shortage and climate change. Weather is

directly proportional to the production of different

crops.

To check the weather situation for coming days is not

a problem in present days of modern technology. We

should pray our Allah for a beneficial rainfall. Farmers

are advised to be aware and keep an eye on their local

weather forecast by using internet and an authentic

and reliable website. In this way, they can schedule

their irrigation in line with the weather. Weather on an

area plays a key role for better growth and

development of a crop because it has its unique acidic

qualities and have some essential nutrients present in

it along with water.

Weather conditions were becoming harsh for several

months due to the absence of rain fall. Temperature

was breaking the previous records for the month of

May. Unfavorable conditions were causing huge

losses to the crops. Farmers were worried about their crops to manage different diseases and pests caused

by this prevailing weather. We should pray to Allah

Almighty to shower his blessings on us in the form of

rain fall. Otherwise, it is becoming extremely difficult

to cope with these conditions. Production and yield of

all major and minor crops is decreasing. Month of May

has not faced such extreme temperatures during the

previous earlier years.

Among all other inputs, fertilizers play the most

important role in rice production. Kisan Basmati

formerly known as 1509, is a short durational fine

variety. Its fertilizer schedule has been highlighted in

this video. It has been suggested that 75 kg/acre DAP

plus25 kg SOP should be added at last planking while

puddling as basal dose. Root stimulant Pilatus- Arysta

@1 liter should be flooded within a week after

transplanting. 25 Kg Zabardast Urea should be added

at 3 weeks, 50 Kg ammonium sulphate plus 1 kg boron

at 40 days and 25 kg SOP plus50 kg ammonium

sulphate at booting stage for better production of this

variety.

Public sector of Pakistan is unable to fulfill seed

requirement of rice. Government has allowed different

companies to provide rice seed. Companies are

performing well in this connection but some of them

exploit the farmer by selling same variety with

different names. Some members of the seed mafia

introduce Indian rice varieties in Pakistan. It is not only

suggested sack the introduction of Indian varieties in

our country but also suggested to make proper use of

exotic gene pole according to international rules as in

case of Sugarcane and Wheat varieties.
