SHOWERS AND STORMS: Afternoon showers and storms, next weather maker to brings temperature drop

Increasing clouds today as a ridge of high pressure begins to breakdown. Daytime highs will be in the 80s to low 90s. Gusty southwest winds are expected. Isolated showers and storms will develop this afternoon. Any storm that develops will be capable of gusty outflow winds, brief heavy rain and small hail.

A cold front will bring a slight drop in temperatures for the end of the week. Daytime highs will be in the mid to upper 70s Thursday. Widespread showers and storms will be possible Thursday.

Daytime highs will be in the 60s on Friday, with showers and storms moving along the divide.
