This time, we found ourselves in the vibrant heart of Playa del Carmen, where the streets are alive with color, music, and most importantly, incredible food! Today, we're taking you on a culinary journey through one of our favorite spots: Porfirio's Playa del Carmen.

Porfirio's Playa del Carmen - A Mexican Gastronomic Experience
Nestled in the bustling Playa del Carmen, Porfirio's stands out as a gem of Mexican cuisine. From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the rich aromas and the vibrant atmosphere that embodies the spirit of Mexico. Porfirio's is renowned for it's over-the-top Mexican dishes, and we couldn't wait to dive in!

Our feast began with a classic starter - Esquites, a flavorful corn dish that's a staple in Mexican street food. The creamy, spicy, and tangy flavors set the stage for what was to come. Next up was the Tortilla Soup, a comforting and flavorful dish that is a Mexican staple. The rich broth, crispy tortilla strips, and fresh ingredients made it an unforgettable experience. We also indulged in the Bone Marrow, a decadent treat that was rich and savory.

A Bourgeois Lunch Before Our Next Destination
Before we headed to our next destination on this amazing road trip through Mexico, we decided to treat ourselves to a lunch at a very bourgeois restaurant in Playa del Carmen. The upscale ambiance and exquisite dishes made for a perfect farewell to this beautiful city. We enjoyed a luxurious meal that included some of the finest comida mexicana we've ever had. The flavors were sophisticated, the presentation was impeccable, and it was a dining experience we won't soon forget.
