According to sources, Bangladesh has reduced import duty and prices from 72.5 percent to 25 percent. And that is why it is thought that the price of rice in India may go up. At the same time, it is thought that the price of rice in the international market, including the country, may increase by 10 percent. After that, the hands of ordinary people are practically falling on their heads.

বাংলাদেশের একটি সিদ্ধান্ত, আর তার জেরেই কি ফের ভারতে দাম বাড়ছে চালের? অন্তত সেই কথাই বলছেন দেশের বাজার বিশেষজ্ঞরা। সূত্রের খবর, বাংলাদেশ আমদানি শুল্ক এবং দাম ৬২.৫ শতাংশ থেকে কমিয়ে ২৫% করেছে। আর যে কারণেই মনে করা হচ্ছে, ভারতে দাম বাড়তে পারে চালের। একইসঙ্গে মনে করা হচ্ছে, দেশ সহ আন্তর্জাতিক বাজারেও চালের দাম বাড়তে পারে ১০ শতাংশ মতন। তারপরেই কার্যত মাথায় হাত পড়ছে সাধারণ মানুষের।
