The Halo soundtracks composed by Martin O'Donnell have always had an alluring, ethereal, fantastical component that could not be mistaken for any other official soundtrack. The composing of a whimsical fantasy soundscape where one whom have never experienced the games would think it is for a high fantasy game akin to an Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or The Legend of Zelda, combined with the tribalistic drums and Celtic style compositions, emulating the ancient, primal, gritty times of pre-recorded history, all the while orchestrated around massively wide, spacious ambiance and soft electronic tunes, granting you the feeling of being involved in something far grander, greater and holier than what you think surrounds you.


What is the difference between this and any other Halo music compilation? This mix includes an overabundance of nearly forgotten tracks that never made it on the OST. Those ethereal choirs and strings that everyone seamlessly hears in the back of their heads when they think about this franchise. I have also done a lot of creative mixing with the soundtracks that I won't spoil here, but you probably won't find it anywhere else. It is also a nostalgic aural reminiscing of all the times you've played and replayed these campaigns. These tracks were carefully ordered and paired with a slideshow in the same way one would use a three act story structure. Those who were here since the beginning would know what that means within minutes. Ultimately, this is meant to serve as everything a Halo fan interprets when a conversation about these scores arises. And lastly, it is my personal way of thanking Martin O'Donnell for creative my most favored video game soundtracks of all time.
