Motor Spirit EG6 Ep.12.2 - TARC Cadwell Park 03 Sep 16 Race 1 (Scariest race of my life!)

Well I was praying race 1 would be dry as my front tyres were literally slicks by this stage. My prayers were answered with never ending rain for the rest of the day. Never have I felt such a need for a set of wets!

I set the car up as best I could for the wet track and actually managed to find some grip in the corners eventually, but the straights were f*cking scary! You can see the car pulling left and right on the video, it felt 10x worse for real!

Half way through the race the rear engine mount snapped resulting in my being stuck in 4th, so all in all managed to limp round with my wobbly engine, finishing 9th in the end. Unfortunately I was out of race 2, had no spares to fix the Eg.

Will definitely be looking towards a set of wets for the future!

Massive thank you to Organiser of Track Attack - Steve Vince - for inviting us to have a go at this event. All the guys were very friendly and the MR2's are great fun to mix it up with - feisty! Certainly a series i'll be looking to join in the future!
