Is the Peak-to-Peak Gondola Worth it in the Summer…
On our Journey we stopped in Whistler for the day, we didn’t spend the night there in the end as we were camping in the back of the ute (truck). So we were able to drive a little further to our next spot and spend the night at a campsite along the way. Super convenient. However, we spent the majority of the day exploring Whistler, which hosted a previous Winter Olympics. We were there in the summer and started off the day purchasing 2 passes to take us on the gondola. We took the first gondola to the top of the side we parked nearest to, after which we switched gondolas and took the peak-to-peak gondola. There are windows in every direction of the gondola caridges allowing almost a full 360 view of the stunning surrounding mountains and scenery. Well worth it. neither Chase nor I were dressed for the chill at the top of the mountain and stopped inside to get a latte each. They were a little sweet otherwise good coffee. We continued on and started walking what we thought would be a smallish hike, we hiked to the summit, it was a little steep and luckily we wore hikers but we saw others coming down in trainers!! Their poor feet. Once at the top, we saw the gondola that we could have caught up and unanimously decided that was how we were getting down. Overall it was a great time even the summer. I don't believe I recorded any of it but there are shops in the little town below and food establishments to grab something to eat which I highly recommend also checking out while you are there. Is the Peak-to-Peak Gondola Worth it in the Summer? I definitely think so.
