How to resolve a check engine light with P0411 indicated on direct injected GM Ecotec engines. The problem is that the exhaust gas recirculation gets incomplete combustion products into the secondary air injection system ports, clogging them. Doesn’t result in engine damage, just increased emissions. Dealer quoted ~$1700 to fix this, took me ~9 hours of careful work and $30 of new gaskets and freeze plugs. Common amongst cars that are not warmed up all the way and driven too lightly.
