A bridge on Northbound I-95 in Dunn, North Carolina was closed due to a truck caught fire and exploded under the bridge.

The box truck burst into flames and exploded Tuesday afternoon. Clouds of black smoke billowed from the fire, which exploded the bridge's steel girders to intense heat.

The fire also left a backup of traffic that stretched for miles. The North Carolina Department of Transportation says they don't have a timetable for reopening the bridge.

They have to determine its structural integrity first. US Highway 421 underneath the bridge is also closed.
