Today was another power-packed day where I deepened my understanding of Binary Trees, enhanced my problem-solving in tree-based algorithms, and tackled two dynamic Problem of the Day challenges. I focused on optimizing recursive solutions and diving into greedy and heap-based logic.

📌 Problems I Solved Today:
🌳 1. Diameter of Binary Tree
– Used postorder traversal to compute the diameter by tracking the longest path between any two nodes.
– Improved my recursive thinking and edge-case handling.

🌳 2. Symmetric Tree
– Checked for mirror symmetry in binary trees using recursion.
– Strengthened my skills in comparing left-right subtrees recursively.

📸 3. Binary Tree Cameras
– Devised a strategy to place the minimum number of cameras in a binary tree to monitor all nodes.
– Implemented a clever recursive state-tracking method to decide whether a node needs a camera or is already covered.
– This problem reinforced greedy and DFS-based techniques for tree coverage.

💡 LeetCode POTD – Longest Unequal Adjacent Groups Subsequence II
– Involved dynamic programming with Hamming distance constraints.
– Built the longest subsequence where adjacent elements belonged to different groups and had Hamming distance = 1.
– Learned how to backtrack subsequence paths using parent arrays and state transitions.

🔍 GFG POTD – Smallest Range in K Lists
– Applied a min-heap-based approach to find the smallest range that includes at least one number from each of the K lists.
– Used priority queues and pointer tracking to efficiently maintain and update range boundaries.
– Enhanced my grip over heap operations and sliding window strategy in multidimensional lists.

🧠 Key Learnings:
Revisited and mastered multiple tree traversal techniques (inorder, postorder, mirror comparisons).

Tackled complex state-based tree problems like Binary Tree Cameras.

Strengthened dynamic programming skills in sequence construction problems.

Understood the interplay of priority queues and range optimization in multi-list problems.
