Lake Laut Tawar is a lake and tourist area located in the Gayo Highlands, Central Aceh Regency, Aceh. On the west side of the lake is the regency city of Takengon, which is also the capital of Central Aceh Regency. The Gayo tribe calls this lake Lake Lut Tawar.
It covers approximately 5,472 hectares with a length of 17 km and a width of 3.219 km. The volume of water is approximately 2,537,483,884 m³ (2.5 trillion liters).
There is a road to drive around the lake, and if you go there then you will be amazed at all the beauty.
There are also several places to sit and relax while drinking authentic Gayo coffee.
