'Small Room in Dakar' was composed over four years, evolving slowly with each of my returns to my small creative sanctuary in Dakar. Just a hundred meters from the ocean, this room became a place of reflection, solitude, and inspiration, where memories and experiences surfaced with honesty and clarity, taking shape as melodies.

The piece embodies the trust and patience required for authentic connection, where time, silence, and presence shape the music, allowing the artist to become a vessel through which creation flows. It is rooted in my personal experience as an individual in a foreign culture, alone, and in how connecting with the people brought deep friendships and unique bonds that transcended differences. It is a mutual understanding practiced without words or agreements, driven purely by love.

The music video features rare documentary footage and moments from my travels, never before released, captured by my dear friend and cinematographer, Ran Shneck.

This is the title track from the album 'Small Room In Dakar' (out September 5th, 2025), accompanied by Roei Hermon on the piano.
