What happens when classical music and jazz meet? In April, Schime & Muzikon will take visitors on a seven-stop Austrian tour into their own musical world, shaped by a wide variety of influences from cultures around the world. The impressive tour is organized together with the Viennese company Music Traveler, a platform that supports artists in finding and booking suitable spaces.


Schime & Muzikon is the result of the creative merger of the jazz ensemble Schime and the chamber orchestra Muzikon. The fusion of Belgrade musicians promises a unique experience at the end of April. This is where classical music and modern jazz meet and merge into a harmonious melange. The Austria series begins on April 24th in Salzburg - followed by Innsbruck, Grafenegg, Vienna, Eisenstadt, Klagenfurt and Graz.
Depth, freedom & rhythm
The original compositions come from the two composers Luka Ignjatović and Sava Miletić. Furthermore, arrangements for the string orchestra are lovingly designed by the respected composers Vladimir Nikolov and Ana Krstajić. The ensemble uniquely combines the harmonic depth of European classical music, the improvisational freedom of jazz and the stirring rhythms and melodies of Balkan folk music.
With North Macedonian arranger Vladimir Nikolov and arranger and composer Ana Krstajić at the forefront of the creative process, Schime & Muzikon's Austria tour promises an unforgettable experience for music lovers and culture enthusiasts alike.
About Schime & Muzikon
Schime & Muzikon is a project with original music by the Schime Jazz Quartet and the Muzikon chamber orchestra. The Schime Jazz Ensemble is one of the leaders in the European jazz scene, while the Muzikon chamber orchestra stands out as an up-and-coming multimedia arts ensemble. The premiere of this creative project took place at the prestigious Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade at the end of 2020.
About Music Traveler
The entire tour was organized together with the Viennese company Music Traveler, a platform that allows artists to easily book creative spaces and venues. The successful composer and violinist Aleksey Igudesman founded the platform based on personal experience because: As a musician, he is aware of the challenges that come with finding suitable rooms for rehearsals, recordings and concerts. .
