I made fish paturi in banana leaves using Katla fish or South Asian Carp, as it was already there in my house, but you can make it with Bhetki fish (Barramundi) also, which will be authentic for you. You can keep rest of the procedure same as I have done. The paste is very important. It consists of mustard powder, desiccated coconut and some poppy seed powder. Also put a teaspoon of mustard oil on the fish piece and a green chili. I have done it in microwave oven, but it can be done in gas oven too by steaming it. It's a very easy recipe and delicious too.
