Judge pushes back on Brian Kemp lawyer arguments

A Fulton County judge is hearing a motion to quash a subpoena for Gov. Brian Kemp to testify in the 2020 election interference special grand jury investigation.

Lawyers for the Georgia governor are claiming executive privilege and sovereign immunity exemptions from the subpoena, and a filing argues his testimony before the special grand jury is "being pursued at this time for improper political purposes."
