Steve + Bucky – Stucky – AU - Blind

This is my first Stucky video, and I really LOVE this ship. I slaved away on this one for 5 days straight. Hope you like it.

Summary:
This is a reincarnation AU. There are three storylines going on here, so I’ll do my best to explain. Sorry it's so long.

At the start of World War II Steve and Bucky are lifelong friends and over time have fallen in love. On Bucky’s last night before shipping out, they sleep together for the first time. Bucky stays awake all night worrying about how Steve will get by on his own. Steve sees him off just before sunrise, and eventually he is offered a way to join Bucky overseas. He takes it, getting there just in time to save Bucky. Back at camp, Bucky watches Steve with Agent Carter and suspects that the new, not necessarily improved, Steve is no longer in love with him, and Steve never gets to tell him otherwise.

James Buchanan Barnes is the son of an Ambassador. He’s always known he’s gay, and tries to hide it from his father. His junior year he starts at a new boarding school, and at the annual opening bonfire he sees Steve, an upperclassman, for the first time. When Steve sees James checking him out from across the bonfire, for the first time in his life he's nervous, almost shy. Even though his best friend Natasha doesn’t approve of him seducing yet another young guy, from the first time he saw James, he knew this time was different. Steve is James’ first everything and he’s devastated when Steve breaks up with him, after almost two years, because he believes he cheated on him.

Seven years later, they are still very much in love, and when they run into each other at a bar it’s like not a single day has passed since they broke up. They pick up right where they left off, but James’ father has eyes and ears everywhere. He’s ignored all the other men, but this time it’s different, special, and cannot be allowed to continue. James lets Steve go, and tries to be everything his father wants him to be, but it sends him into a tailspin. Losing Steve a second time proves nearly fatal, and after an overdose, he’s handed over by his father, to a military program that turns him into a top assassin, The Winter Soldier.

Meanwhile, Natasha is desperate to save her longtime friend. Losing James again has pushed him over the edge. When she picks him up at the hospital after an overdose, Steve tells her he’s a ghost story, and in the hope that it will give him something to live for, she recruits him to join Shield. With a little super juice, he takes up the mantel of Captain America, a fallen WWII hero who’s identity remains unknown. When James is sent after Captain America his true identity isn’t revealed until they are face to face for the first time. Steve doesn’t recognize him yet, but he is the winter soldier, and he is determined to complete his mission anyway. Or have his mission parameters changed?
