Note: Adding Apple Cider vinegar to the jar acts as great bait!

This project was inspired by SouthernGinger's last Carpenter Bee Trap project video (   • How to make a carpenter bee trap with...  ). I've seen similar traps at my local hardware store selling for 20-30$ and the carpenter bees have started to come out in full force. So, I started to wonder if there was a different way to make the same trap and came up with this idea of using a 4x4 pine post. I originally thought it'd be nice if it was about 6 inches high, but that wasn't going to work with my drill and forstner bits. So I trimmed everything down to 4 inches high, essentially making a bunch of 4x4x4 blocks. I ended up making about 6 of these suckers, but it's been raining the past few days and the carpenter bees have been hiding. I've placed them around areas that I've seen them, as soon as I catch some, I'll post a picture to Instagram.
