Paediatric Sepsis Week is an initiative of the Sepsis Alliance that aims to raise awareness of paediatric sepsis, held annually during the third week of April (21-27 April 2024).

Sepsis is the leading cause of harm in children worldwide, with infants and children under 5 at greater risk.

In Australia, vital work is being done in healthcare and community settings to increase awareness of paediatric sepsis and improve outcomes for children diagnosed with sepsis and their families.

Perth Children’s Hospital invited parents, carers and families to Sepsis and Kids, a free online forum with expert clinicians from PCH. They discussed the latest advancements in paediatric sepsis care and management, as well as information about the new CAHS post-sepsis pathway project, supported by Telethon7 Perth.
