His Holiness Lokanath Swami Maharaj is one of the senior-most disciples of His Divine Grace A.C. BhaktiVedant Swami Srila Prabhupada. Born in the village of Aravade in Maharastra, he grew up in a pious Varkari family.  He pursued his secondary education from Wellington College, Sangli and moved to Bombay to study Chemistry at Kirti College. In 1971, a historical event took place when His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada returned to India, for the first time with his American disciples. A huge pandal program was held at Cross Maidan. At that program, there were two great souls who got connected to this movement. And one of them was HH Lokanath Swami Maharaj, and the other was HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj.
